Rajinikanth’s much awaited film “Kochadayaan” finally starts on 19th January 2012. January 19th is considered as an auspicious day for the superstar since he has started so many projects on the same date. Soundarya will commence the shooting at AVM Studio starting with scenes involving Rajini and Sneha. Sneha plays Rajini’s sister character in the film. The shooting may be then shifted to a bungalow in the ECR road. According to Sources a song which is A. R. Rahman’s composition will also be canned on Rajinikanth with K. S. Ravikumar supervising the entire shooting.
Kochadaiyaan showcases Rajinikanth as a king, while Katrina is said to be playing his love interest. Actress Sneha will play Rajinis sister, Aadhi and Prithviraj are expected to play key roles.
After Enthiran (ROBOT), , Super star Rajinikanth’s next release is a HI-TECH 3 D film named “KOCHADAIYAAN”. This is the first time that a 3D film with Performance capturing technology produced in India.
It should be mentioned that all time Box office Hit “AVATAR” work of James Cameron and the latest sensation creating new records “The Adventures of TIN TIN “ work of Steven Spielberg have been produced with the same performance capturing technology, in Hollywood.
K.S.Ravikumar has written the story, Screenplay, Dialogue and is doing the Direction supervision for “Kochadaiyaan”. The film is directed by Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth. The film is produced by Eros International and Media one Global entertainment Limited. The work is progressing in a fast pace and is scheduled for release in August 2012.
When KS Ravikumar asked whether Kochadaiyaan is an attempt take back ‘Sultan the Warrior', which is an animation movie planned by Soundarya a few years ago withdrawn later, “ KSR disagreed. He said that this is a completely different subject.” ‘Kochadaiyaan' is the name of a king.
Rajinikanth may act in RANA after Kochadaiyaan.
History of Kochadaiyan Ranadhiran
Kochadaiyan Ranadhiran was a Pandya king ruled Pandya regions between c.710 – 735. He was the son and successor of Arikesari Maravarman. Arikesari Maravarman was a Pandyan king who ruled the ancient Tamil kingdom between 670 and 710 AD. He was the successor of Jayantavarman(640-670 AD).He was succeeded by his son Kochadaiyan Ranadhiran.
Kochadaiyan Ranadhiran conquered the greater part of Kongu country (Coimbatore, Salem) and depressed the Marathas in the city of Mangalapuram, which is now presently known as Mangalore. He subdued the Cholas and the Cheras, and his campaigns against the Chalukya kings and Ay chieftains (the latter eventually become his vassals) were also recorded Sangam Literature. He also started the acts of warfare with the Chalukyas of Badami and the Gangas. He defeated Ay chieftains in Kurunadu in south Travancore.
